# morphedra Whiteboard Video API

> morphedra turns scientific and educational figures into narrated whiteboard videos. The API takes 1 to 6 images (PNG, JPG, WEBP) and either the author's own scripts, which the voice reads word for word, or no scripts, in which case the narration is composed from the figures and optional notes. Calls return at once; the video is made in the background and delivered by polling or by webhook. Price: $1.80 per minute of finished video, billed per second, shortest charge 10 seconds. A failed video is never charged.

Authentication: header `Authorization: Bearer mk_live_...` (test keys: `mk_test_...`, free, 3 videos of up to 15 seconds, watermarked). Call from a server only; never from a browser.

Key facts for agents:
- Create: `POST /videos` with `figures` (each `image_url` or `image_base64`, optional `script`), optional `notes`, `voice` (Charon, Orus, Kore, Aoede), `title`, `max_duration_seconds` (10 to 600, default 60, the most you can be charged), `webhook_url`.
- Give a script for every figure or for none. Scripts that cannot fit `max_duration_seconds` (about 65 words per minute) are refused with `script_too_long`; nothing is shortened.
- All figures must be landscape or all portrait. Video format follows the figures.
- Send an `Idempotency-Key` header to make retries safe.
- Poll `GET /videos/{id}` every 5 to 10 seconds (limit 30 requests per minute per key) or use a webhook (`video.completed`, `video.failed`, signed with HMAC-SHA256 in `morphedra-Signature`).
- Limits: 2 running videos per account, 6 figures, 5 MB per image.
- Do not send personal health information or other personal identifiers.
- Video files are deleted after 90 days; video records stay in the API for 30 days.
